Star du football professionnelle de l'Etat de San Diego et de la ligue Canadienne, il se retire du sport en 1974, pour devenir acteur. Il commence alors par des petits roles, jusqu'en 1976 ou il incarne le role tres celebre d'Apollo Creed, caractere base sur l'histoire de Muhammad Ali, dans le film Rocky. En plus de sa carriere d'acteur, Carl est egalement un membre actif pour l'association : "Brother's et de Comite olympique des Etats-Unis". |
