Synopsis:
In the dust of a township near Johannesburg, twelve-year-old Chanda discovers that a rumour swells in the neighbourhood, destroying her family and driving her mother to flee. Guessing that the gossip is based on preconceptions and superstition, Chanda sets off in search of her mother and the truth.
