BIOGRAPHY:

Common, whose real name is Lonnie Rashid Lynn Jr., is an American hip-hop artist, poet, actor and activist born on March 13, 1972 in Chicago, Illinois. He is known for his creativity, social commitment and multi-talented talents, which have earned him a prominent place in the entertainment industry.

Common grew up on Chicago's South Side, an area marked by violence and socio-economic hardship. This environment had a profound influence on his music and artistic career. From an early age, he was exposed to poetry and literature thanks to his mother, a teacher.
