BIOGRAPHY:
Garrett Morris, born February 1, 1937, in New Orleans, is a renowned American actor and comedian, famous for being one of the original members of "Saturday Night Live" (SNL) from 1975 to 1980. Educated at Dillard University and the Juilliard School, he began his career on the stages of Broadway before venturing into film and television. After SNL, he appeared in several popular sitcoms, including "Martin" and "The Jamie Foxx Show," and more recently, he portrayed Earl in "2 Broke Girls" from 2011 to 2017. In addition to his acting career, Morris has contributed as a writer and director, overcoming significant personal challenges, including a serious shooting incident in 1994. Active in teaching performing arts, Garrett Morris continues to influence and inspire the next generation of artists.
