Tishuan Scott
BIOGRAPHY: Tishuan Scott was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, October 27, 1979 to his mother Angela Scott and father Calvin Johnson. His dreams of becoming an actor were something far-fetched for a young boy growing up in the Copper Road neighborhood of his home town. But three high school teachers: Carol Hicks (English), Judy Polhemus (Fine Arts) and Ruth Rath (Drama) would change the trajectory of his ambitions in ways he never could have imagined. At his alma mater, Captain Shreve High School, Tishuan would begin his pursuit and passion of acting on stage. He would later go on to win the Louisiana High School State Championship in Dramatic Interpretation leading him to have faith and belief that acting is something he should pursue. Tishuan then attended Morehouse College under the guidance of college President Dr. Walter Massey, as an Oprah Winfrey Scholar, where he matriculated towards earning his Bachelor of Arts in Drama and Psychology in 2002. He then attended the University of California – Los Angeles School of Theater, Film & Television (UCLA-TFT), as a Lloyd Bridges/MGM Outer Limits Fellow, where he received his Master of Fine Arts in Acting in 2006. |
