Synopsis:
1960. Samba, a young socialist activist whose father is a well-established merchant in Bamako, meets Lara during one of his missions in the bush. Lara takes advantage of Samba to flee her family who wants to marry her off by force. While Lara discovers a new life in Bamako, Samba begins to challenge some of the decisions of his hierarchy since his father was imprisoned.
