BIOGRAFÍA:

Loretta Devine creció en el distrito de Acres Home de Houston. Es muy activa y se une al equipo de animadoras y participa en los concursos de talentos de su instituto. Luego se matriculó en la Universidad de Houston donde obtuvo su licenciatura en Artes del Lenguaje y Comedia. Luego fue a la Universidad de Brandeis donde obtuvo un MFA en teatro. Se casó con Lamar Tyler en 1973 y la pareja tuvo un hijo antes de divorciarse oficialmente en 2008. Ahora está casada con el analista financiero, Glenn Marshall.
