Né le: 01 Jan 1970 , Brooklyn, New York  -
Nia Jervier, actrice trinidadienne nee a Brooklyn, est diplomee du celebre La Guardia Performing Arts High School et du programme The New School's Dramatic Arts BFA (en collaboration avec l'American Musical & Dramatic Academy). Jervier a joue dans Once on This Island, The Taming of The Shrew et A Midsummer Night's Dream dans le circuit off-Broadway. Apres son demenagement a Los Angeles, Jervier a fait des apparitions a la television dans les annees 20 de Justin Simien et la presentation pilote de la serie comique Bros d'Anthony Hemingway, actuellement en developpement. Ses plus recentes realisations incluent la comedie primee au Sundance, Dear White People (2014), et elle a participe au 68e Festival de Cannes pour promouvoir le court metrage independant Ladylike (2015). Ladylike est la production inaugurale du duo scenariste-realisateur Tiffany Johnson et Nick Williams de A Tiff & Nick Scoop; produit par Lena Waithe -producteur de Lionsgate et de Roadside Attractions a acquis le film Dear White People. |
