Né le: 25 Sep 1968 , Philadelphie  -
Issu d'une famille de melomanes, Will fera ses premiers pas dans le Hip Hop, en creant avec Jeff Townes le duo D. J. Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince. En 1990, grace au succes de l'album 'Sommertime', ils seront reperes par un grand producteur de la musique Quincy Jones, qui produira la serie devenue culte Le Prince de Bel Air. Il faudra 5 ans a Fresh Prince pour exploser au cinema et changer definitivement son nom en Will Smith diminutif de 'Willard Christopher Smith'. Il partagera l'affiche avec Martin Lawrence dans son premier blockbuster : Bad Boys. A partir de 1996, il enchaine de facon reguliere les succes au box-office avec entre autres, Independance day et Ali. Divorce et pere d'un garcon, il s'est remarie en 1997 avec l'actrice Jada Pinkett avec qui il a eu deux enfants.
