BIOGRAPHIE:
Yahya Abdul-Mateen grandit dans le quartier de Magnolia Projects, avant de demenager a Oakland en Californie. Il sort diplome en architecture de l'universite de Californie à Berkeley puis travaille comme urbaniste à San Francisco. Revant depuis toujours de devenir acteur, il étudie a l'ecole d'art dramatique de l'Universite de Yale, ou il obtient un Master of Fine Arts. Il joue alors dans plusieurs pieces de theatres. En 2016, il decroche le role princpial dans la serie musicale developpee par Baz Luhrmann pour Netflix, The Get Down.
