BIOGRAPHY:
Born in Houma, Louisiana, Quvenzhané had lied about her age when she auditioned for the role of Hushpuppy because she was only five years old and the minimum age was six. In 2013, at the age of nine, she became the youngest actress in history to be nominated for a Best Actress Oscar for her performance in Beasts of the Wild South (2012). In 2013 she will be seen in the film Twelve Years a Slave as well as in a remake of the musical Annie (2014), a role for which she is again acclaimed by the public and receiving a nomination for the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a comedy or musical film.
