BIOGRAFÍA:
Conocido sobre todo por su papel de Elijah Muhammad en "Malcolm X", de Spike Lee, Al Freeman debutó en la televisión a finales de la década de 1950 y luego pasó al cine a principios de la década de 1960.
Actuó junto a Frank Sinatra en "El detective" y Sidney Poitier en "El hombre perdido", y luego pasó a trabajar con Françis Ford Coppola y Sydney Pollack. En el ámbito de la televisión, interpretó un papel durante muchos años en la telenovela "On ne vit qu'une fois", de 1972 a 1987.
