BIOGRAFÍA:

Nacido en Nueva Jersey, Derek se fue a California para seguir una carrera como actor. Antes de "Antwone Fisher", era casi un completo desconocido a pesar de sus breves apariciones en la serie de televisión Moesha" y su primer papel importante en Biker Boyz con Larry Fishburne. Derek Luke ha recibido numerosos elogios de la crítica y del público por su actuación en "Antwone Fisher" de y con Denzel Washington. Derek también ganó el premio del National Board of Review Award al mejor actor por su trabajo en esta película, este premio marca su debut en el mundo del cine.
