BIOGRAFÍA:
Ilfenesh Hadera, de padre de origen etíope y madre de ascendencia europea y estadounidense, estudió interpretación en la Harlem School of the Arts de Nueva York. Luego obtuvo su primer papel pequeño en 2010 en la película 1/20.
La joven pasó entonces a la pequeña pantalla, apareciendo en series de televisión como Blacklist, Billions y Show Me A Hero. En 2013, se dio a conocer al protagonizar, bajo la dirección de Spike Lee, Old Boy, un remake de la película coreana del mismo nombre. La actriz se reunió con el director dos años después para Chi-Raq junto a Samuel L. Jackson.
