BIOGRAFÍA:
Nacido en Brooklyn, Nueva York, Omar fue criado por su madre, una directora de escuela local. Estudió en la Escuela Superior de Música y Arte LaGuardia de Nueva York. Tras su irrupción en Juice con Tupac Shakur, Omar corrió el riesgo de quedar encerrado en los mismos papeles, interpretando a atletas en la mayoría de estas películas. Sin embargo, se ganó la aclamación del público por su interpretación de un chico que va a la universidad con una beca deportiva en Columbus Fever, de John Singleton, en 1995. Ha aparecido en varias series aclamadas por la crítica, como Dr. House, por la que recibió un premio al mejor actor de reparto en una serie en 2007. Ha aparecido en la serie ER y en varias películas dirigidas por Charles Dutton y Danny Glover. Escribe, produce y actúa en las creaciones de "Brooklyn Works Films", nombre de la productora que fundó.
