Nacido el: 12 May 1959 , New York  -
Criado en las calles de Harlem, Ving (de nombre real Irving) Rhames fue dirigido a clases de interpretación por su perfecta elocución. Fascinado por el teatro, consiguió entrar en la prestigiosa High School for the Performing Arts de Nueva York (fue el alumno más joven admitido), y luego, con una beca, fue a estudiar teatro clásico a la Juilliard School of Dramatic Arts. La televisión le dio su primera oportunidad, y luego se subió al escenario de Broadway junto a Matt Dillon en "Los chicos de invierno". En 1986, interpretó su primer papel en el cine en "Native Son", de Jerrold Freedman. A continuación, apareció en la saga de Brian de Palma "Outrages", y pasó a protagonizar películas con Michael J. Fox, Sean Penn y Matt Dillon. |
